This collection is really quite something. Profound and mysterious without being self-indulgent, and very wry in places.

Having grown up by the sea myself, some of the lines in these poems carry me right back to the old days, somehow managing to capture the essence of what having the sea by your side does to the way you view things. Top stuff.

A wonderful collection of both humourous and thought provoking poems, all of which come from the heart. Phil Lucas obviously enjoys analysing life but enjoys equally not striving for the answer to all the questions that are out there. (How delightful!) He takes us to several places that we have all been and some others also. It's easy to get lost in this short book and it leaves you wanting more! I look forward to any future works.
